Prague Castle is a complex, built in the 9th century. I visited yesterday as part of a solo tour with TourRadar (tour 102234). Just sharing some snapshots in a separate post to not overwhelm the travel diary (LINK).
The schedule for the tour was for the bus to pick us up at 9 AM and we start at the Castle’s entrance by 9:30 AM. However, there was a bit of a delay because one woman forgot her beanie (there’s always one fussy person 🙄) so our tour ended up starting at 10 AM from this white building, the Chapel of the Holy Cross.
There were heaps of tour groups waiting for their ticket in the courtyard. We took advantage of this time to take photos of the architecture. Inside this building was St. Vitus Cathedral, a shrine and home for national treasures.
The guide showed us around the cathedral, explaining the history behind the pieces. I spent most of my time taking photos of these beautiful glass windows 😍
Afterwards, we were led to the Old Royal Palace where the grand royal hall and jewels were located.
We stopped outside the back of the cathedral for a toilet break.
This tour group was three times bigger than my tour group in Berlin (LINK), meaning it was taking a lot longer to view places because everyone was lagging behind to take photos or wandering off or asking questions and the one guide had to babysit all 30 people 🙄 It was taking so long that I managed to set up a photo shoot in the middle of the busy courtyard.

The tour continued towards the Black Tower and then down towards the Castle Steps, leading to this beautiful view of Prague. We stayed here for 20 mins, taking photos and eating snacks.
By this time, it was 1 PM and the guide walked us towards Podul Carol (bridge) to the Old Town and the Astronomical Clock, leaving us there to explore and ending the tour for the day.
Thanks for reading this scenic gallery of Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral 😆.
