We’re still stuck in lockdown so we’re reminiscing this homey meal from ABB Air Thai Cusine 1982. T saw this place on Reynold Poernomo’s IG story (without a location tag) and after some investigative work, she found his secret, go-to spot. Located in the centre of the CBD, this cosy restaurant serves one of the best authentic Thai cuisines in Sydney.
We ate here in late May and I have a bad memory so the review will not be detailed 😅. I just remember everything was delicious and hit the soul in a comforting way. No wonder Reynold kept it a secret.

Food
To be honest, I don’t remember what Mick ordered but this was a herbal broth, with tender pork pieces.
This Lard na is a must at Thai restaurants. The savoury drenching of the gravy over the crispy egg noodles and chicken is delectable 👌🏻.
Tom Zapp Pork: an original sour and spices soup with fresh herb, rice powder and soft pork bone. This was a delicious, savoury broth with tender meats and earthy herbs.
We had a Kao Lao Tom Yum to share, which was a spicy Thai style soup with minced pork, BBQ pork, fish ball, peanut, bean sprout and prawns. It was very flavourful, with a mildly sour and strong umami taste. I had it the next day and damn, it was still delicious.
We ordered the papaya salad with Thai crab, pickled fish, green papaya and peanuts.
Service
This is more of a casual eatery so service was focused on being fast and silent.
Review
One of the most basic reviews on this blog 😅 but nonetheless, if you want a quick bite in the city, check out this restaurant for delicious Thai food.
