We were in London for 2 weeks and experienced 2 days of sunshine (LINK). The second day was today and we took advantage of the warmth and headed 2 hours south to the only beach in England, Brighton. This is a quick travel diary.
We started the day with this beautiful sausage and egg muffin at the markets. It was so scrumptious, with the melted cheese. I wish I lived in London so I could eat this every second Sunday 😋.
It was really fun walking along the pier, enjoying the sun rays on our faces and watching all the kids have fun on the rides. It felt like a mini carnival.
As a Sydney-sider, the oddest thing about this beach were the pebbles. They were so hard to sit on. I had no idea how London peeps could casually have a picnic here. I’m too used to the luxury of sand and our beautiful beaches 🤨.
