Cakes & Bubbles is a dessert only venue created by famed Chef Albert Adrià in 2016. It was designed to be a blend of tradition and modernity, with classic desserts such as flan and waffles, mixed with champagne.
Mick and I found this place randomly today while we were passing the time. It was very fancy, with its Siena marble-clad space, high ceiling chandeliers and sophisticated atmosphere. We only ordered a dessert each as we were on the way to Flat Iron (LINK).

We ordered this beautiful golden egg flan, filled with fresh passionfruit mousse and strawberry sauce inside. It was very fun to crack and intricately presented. The passionfruit had a sweet and slightly tart taste. Once our spoons got a bit of the sweetened raspberry underneath, there was an explosion of delicious fruit in our mouths 🍇. It was really nice for £5.
We got a raspberry eclair and the gold stamping was gorgeous. It had a strong fruity flavour in the crispy outer layer, with chocolate nutty pieces scattered along with the pastry. I don’t remember the price.

If we’re ever in London again, we would definitely try other items on the menu. I wrote this post because if I didn’t, I would forget we ate here 🤣.
