Crab House Vermont is a small Korean restaurant located in Los Angeles and they’re known for their 간장게장 (Ganjang-gejang – raw crabs marinated in soy sauce). This place was fiyahhhhhh 🤤🤤🤤. As a couple, we were seated immediately but any group larger than 3 were waiting 15 to 70 minutes. This place was recommended by @anniereviewsfood on IG.

This ganjang was delicious!!! 🤤 The meat was very fresh, soaked in the sweet soy sauce and sesame oil. We’ve never had anything close to this in Australia – only once in Tokyo from a Korean-inspired dish (LINK) and once in Seoul.
The only downside was that it was advertised as “Korean crab” but it was actually swimmers. The serving was tiny so we ended up ordering a second plate. And the price was hefty – $44USD per dish.

We were told sea urchins are a pest in America so of course we had to get this urchin bowl. It was sooo creamy 🤤. The urchin was perfect – not too briny or dull. The flavours of this bowl was a mix of umami, sweetness, and oceanic saltiness all elevated by a simple bed of fluffy white rice and egg yolk.
