We visited Florence, Italy and stayed at the Hilton Florence Metropole for the last two nights. This was our second time staying with the luxury Hilton brand (first time was Tokyo).
Disclosure: We want to share our hotel experiences with details and honesty since there is a lot of sponsored/fake content out there. Also, we might re-book a place and this helps us remember where we stayed 😂. Our photos were taken on our Sony RX100V and we did not use a wide-angle lens.

Location
The location of this hotel was quite far. We had to catch a shuttle bus to the hotel from the city centre. These shuttle buses arrived every 45 mins and the ride was approx 20 mins. The last bus for the day was at 9:30 PM.
We felt this limited our time to explore the city and we had to factor in the loading and ride time. This also meant we found it inconvenient to travel on the bus with our two large luggage so we had to spend money on a taxi for the check-in and out. But the view was nice though!

Room
Bed: Really clean and comfortable. There was heaps of space for both of us.
We slept in both mornings.
Cleanliness: There was daily house cleaning. Spotless
Space: There was a lot of room to move around the bed and open our luggage, but not enough room to leave our luggage open for the entire stay. We still had to unpack our essentials.

Noise: It was soundproof. We had a great night sleep.

Air-conditioning: Quiet, minimal noise, well ventilated.
Technology: Wi-fi was fast. No TV. There were two power points on both sides of the bed, making it easy for us to charge our phones. There was also lots of options to dim lights and have different lights on.

Bathroom: Lighting was dim, heaps of space. We received bathrobes too.

Extras: The desk was a great space to do my makeup. Coffee was replenished daily.

Amenities: We went downstairs to use the pool and Jacuzzi area. This particular Hilton is famous for its waterfall function; a feature that attracted us to book here. The bubbling functions could be turned on in particular sections of the pool so if there were other guests, the pool was big enough to feel like we had the place to ourselves. The pool closes at 10 PM and it was an extra 5€ to use. There were 6 chairs to lounge on.
Service
We did experience an odd moment upon arrival. As our taxi was pulling in, we observed the staff assisting the guest by opening the door and putting her luggage in the taxi with big smiles.
Once our taxi stopped, and we got out to take our 30kg-sized luggage out of the boot, we noticed none of the staff bothered to look or greet us. Even as we pulled up to the front desk to check-in, the staff avoided our gaze and it felt, shall we say, prejudice, as if they didn’t want to help us 🤔
Once we checked in and showed them our booking, their attitudes changed and they were too eager to help, offering to take our luggage upstairs and upgrading us to a bigger room. We have experienced a bit of racism in Rome so perhaps this is a common occurrence for Asians throughout Italy. It was just an odd moment and with our previous experience with Hilton, the lack of service was a tad disappointing.

Otherwise, considering the room itself and the pool option, this was a nice place to stay at.
