Kowloon Cafe is a retro cafe serving authentic Hong Kong food. The restaurant is located in the busy Chinatown of Sydney CBD. They’ve recently become an Instagrammable place among Sydney locals, leading to long queue times of up to an hour. Despite how packed the restaurant is, staff are always efficient in seating and serving their customers.

This was the signature dish that started the internet craze – the HK style french toast, with honey. The toast was crispy and soft and honestly melted in our mouths. The butter and honey added a sweet, rich profile. Highly recommend!
This was their swiss chicken wings mix instant noodles. It was a savoury, sweet soy dish with lots of flavours mixed in with the noodz. Loved the small, braised chicken wings. They were fat, packed with flavour despite their small size.
This was their XO sauce with pork chop, stir-fried instant noodles. It was really savoury and saucy, and the meat was packed with flavour. The noodles were soft.
This was another favourite of ours, the crispy butter pineapple bun. The pineapple flavour was aromatic and well-infused into the bread. The bun was soft with a perfect, crispy exterior. It was so good! 🤤
A traditional HK style beef noodle soup that was really creamy and delicious. It’s a very common dish in Asian cuisine. Kowloon did a great job seasoning the broth.
This beautifully pleasing dish was the fresh tomato with a pork chop on baked rice. Look at that cheese pull 😍 The pork was crispy and savoury. Tomatoes tasted fresh and went really well with the rice. It was a slightly sweet dish.
A favourite Hong Kong dish, the traditional curry fish balls. They had a thin, fried layer and were really appetizing. They were the perfect bite-size snacks.
review
The food was great. The service was efficient. We were seated within 10 minutes on a busy Saturday. The cafe had a very hip vibe. We definitely recommend Kowloon Cafe for all the Hong Kong cravings. For part 2 (LINK)
