L.A. Donuts is a cute little bakery in Beverly Hills, located off the King Georges Road. This is mainly a takeaway store and the best part is they cater halal.
Last month, on a random Saturday we went on an all-day foodie trip (LINK) with A & T, and L.A. Donuts was our first stop. We got knafeh, the homer and passionfruit glaze.
food
Our favourite one out of the three was the knafeh. If you did not know, knafeh is a traditional Middle Eastern pastry, soaked in a sugar-based syrup and layered with cheese and nuts. We loved the rose water in this doughnut. It was light and elevated the flavours. The pistachio and jam in the filling were delicious and added a crunchy texture 😍. Highly recommend this fusion!
Our second choice was the homer 🍩. It looked and tasted exactly as you would imagine – mouthwatering! The doughnut was super soft and airy. The strawberry was sweet and artificial but not over the top. The sprinkles were a fun decoration.
Our last favourite was the passionfruit glaze. It was still a good doughnut but compared to the others, it was not outstanding. The passionfruit flavour was not as strong as we would like it and we tasted a lot more dough in the bite. If you love the flavour and want a subtle doughnut, this is the one to get.
review
We love the baker at L.A. Donut. She’s a very humble and sweet person.
We bought a box of 18 for our friend’s birthday recently and instead of sharing it with his family, he smashed the whole box because he loved them so much 🤣. I think we got Josh hooked.
Thanks for reading. Happy eating 🍩
