Melbourne, Australia 2021

It’s been a while since we did a travel diary. Here was what we got up to in a short weekend trip to Melbourne, our only trip for the year. Travelled 3rd to 6th December 2021. And surprisingly, it was sunny every day, hazza 😆!

Our Adventure

We booked Park Hyatt for this trip and got to meet Mr Walker 🐶 (LINK).
Our first stop on Friday was obviously Milksha. If you didn’t know, Melbourne is the only place where this bubble tea store exists and it is the only place you can get a bomb-ing orange green tea slush 🥤😍.
We headed over to Niku Ou for an expensive lunch (FULL REVIEW). Then we rushed on over to our escape room for some Harry Potter fun.
We maximised on Peking duck at Quanjude (LINK). And afterwards, we went out to a whiskey bar to hang out with our Melbourne friends 🥂.
I started the morning with an hour workout and a dip in the jacuzzi 💆🏻‍♀️. We explored a bit of Melbourne CBD on our way to Sunda (LINK). There was a lot of commotion with anti-Covid protests and police hanging around.

I was more amazed by the sunny weather, I couldn’t stop taking photos of the city. I think this was the first time in 4 years the weather was good during our exploration 😂.
Mick overcame his fear with another annual ice-skating session. Then we headed for dinner at a Korean restaurant with all our gaming friends.
We were so busy chatting to one another that as a group of 14, we waited in the queue for 1.5 hrs at 10PM for Sul-Bing, “supposedly the best bingsoo in Melbourne”. It was crap 😒. Sydney definitely has better bingsoos. The only reason the queue was so long was that the restaurant was small and people like to sit for an hour chatting with their friends.
Started the morning with another queue for the famous Lune Croissants! We ordered 6 to take to Sydney and split a fresh ham & cheese. So good 🤤 (LINK).
We got to meet our friend’s dog at their rock climbing gym. It’s safe to say this dog did not like strangers touching it HAHAHAHA Look at that doge face 😏
After some more exploration, we booked an impromptu lunch at Cumulus Inc (LINK). For Sunday afternoon we headed back to the hotel for some more jacuzzi time before having KBBQ for dinner.

And that is it. Short and sweet trip for another Covid-crazed year. Thanks for reading 😄.
