I visited Berlin on a solo tour today and here are some snapshots of the Memorial of Holocaust so as to not overwhelm my Berlin travel diary (LINK).
The Memorial of Holocaust in Berlin was designed by Peter Eisenman and Buro Happold, dedicated to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust in WWII. There are 2711 concrete slabs, 2.38m x 0.95m, varying in height, and covering a 19,000 square metre area.

The vibe was a little uneasy. I had chills, like walking through a cemetery, even though no bodies were buried underneath. I believe this was the intended purpose of the memorial. It was hard to go to wild with photos because of the meaning behind these slabs.
But I was also in awe at the design because the evenly-spaced slabs meant the wind and darkness really passed through, towards the centre of the memorial, even during broad daylight. It was a very interesting place to stand in and as much as I want to describe it, I encourage people to visit to see for themselves.
