This is a very short travel diary of our 24 hours in Milan, Italy. We arrived yesterday via the ItaliaRail and navigated easily to our hotel: BeHome Porta Romana (LINK). After checking in, we caught the subway to the Duomo di Milano, which was only 2 stops away.
I wish I could say we had delicious Italian food but really, we ate Jollibee for dinner and breakfast 🐝🤣. It was our first time eating at this happy place because Australia doesn’t have a franchise. The spaghetti was definitely our favourite. It was a sweet, Filipino-style pasta. The fried chicken was ok. We think KFC does it better.

This was the famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele ll. To be honest, Instagrammers make this place seem a lot better with their heavy editing. Don’t get us wrong, this place was really grand and beautiful in person but what we captured was nothing close to what we had seen on social media 😅 The world is full of lies…
This was a random gelato store and we got mango and salted caramel. It was so sweet and creamy. One thing we will miss about Italy is the gelato 🥺.
This morning we visited the Duomo di Milano and its rooftop (LINK). I was an idiot and wore shorts 🤦🏻♀️ Luckily the guards were nice enough to let me wrap my jacket around my legs. They thought I was American so it goes to show what kind of people disrespect rules often 👀.
