For the last 3 days, after visiting Kyoto (LINK), I took my family around Osaka. This is a travel diary of our adventure (so I don’t forget 😅).
Our Adventure
Our first stop after hopping off the Shinkansen and checking in to our Airbnb was Dotonbori! (LINK) There were so many food options along this street. I went straight for the takoyaki, keen to devour and update my post (LINK). My sister chose to line up for 1.5 hours at the Ichiran 😂 She didn’t get to eat until 10PM, poor thing.
The next day we went to Osaka Castle (LINK). It was quite crowded with a few tour groups and Chinese tourists. While my family explored the inside of the castle, I ventured around the outskirts for some Instagrammable shots.
Afterwards, we headed back to Dotonbori for some snacks and the Shiba Inu at Mameshiba Cafe (LINK). I didn’t take any photos but we had okonomiyaki for lunch. To be honest, I don’t remember what dinner was on this day but I’m gonna assume I had takoyaki 🐙🤣.
On day 3 we trained it for an hour to Ikeda for the Cup Noodles Museum Osaka Ikeda (LINK). Seeing as we were so far from central Osaka, we had udon tempura and boxed lunch sets at a restaurant near the station.
In the afternoon, the group divided. My dad, brother and cousin went to try the famous Mario-Karting for their first time. They absolutely loved it! Mick and I have ridden this 3 times already so I was hyping it up for them. I took the rest of the group to Spa World; a 7 level resort dedicated to different spas, baths and massages 💆🏻♀️ It was very relaxing.

Once we were all done, we met up in Tsutenkaku and had dinner there. Everyone chose to eat at a Chinese restaurant 🤔 while I had sashimi. I’m not even going to try to explain that logic LOL My sashimi was fresh and creamy for such a cheap price of ~$10.
