Today we wanted to make our money’s worth for the Paris Pass and to make sure we got all the bangs out of our bucks, we went on the wine tour at Les Caves du Louvre. It was my first time learning about the history of alcohol.
It was really fun to smell the corks and guess the scent of the wine from it, not that we’re a sommelier or anything ð.
There was a wine tasting at the end of the tour. The sommelier served us five wines, from white to red. This beautiful bottle of red (below) is a dessert wine with a grenache blanc blend from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. It was so good, we lugged two of these back to Sydney.
