Sokyo is a popular Japanese restaurant located at The Star Casino in Sydney.
Recently, we had the pleasure of sitting in an omakase with head chef Takashi Sano and while I was writing out the delicious post (LINK), I realised I had completely forgotten we have dined at Sokyo a la carte numerous times.
I’m sharing our anniversary dinner (June 2016) and a mix of photos from our dinner with Ea, A & J (April 2018) in case I lose these photos or the memories again. This is not a food review post.
P.S photo quality and photographer skills are no0bzie because we were playing around with our Olympus EM10.

I believe this was my 2nd or 3rd time eating oysters at a fancy restaurant. I remember loving the heck out of this vinaigrette and slurping every last drop, and then wishing we had ordered another dozen.
I apologize again for these atrocious photos. The alcohol hit me 😔
But we ordered an array of nigiri and skewers and I remember thinking they were all so good 🤣 Go visit Sokyo and give it a try! All the dishes are still on their menu.
One day, I will return with my improved photography and editing skills and give Sokyo’s A La Carte menu the justice it deserves.

This was the seasonal toro, unagi and truffle nigiri for $18 apiece. I remember this beauty because in April 2018 when we dined at Sokyo with our friends and had one too many soju, our friend vomited out this fancy dinner 😔. What a shame.
Oooh, chubby and naive us. Thanks for browsing through!
