Totti

This is probably the most hyped and talked about restaurant of 2022. Totti is a modern and relaxed Italian restaurant designed as a quick pit stop for a good day or night out. I made reservation for 4 on Saturday at 12pm about 3 weeks in advance.

Entrée

Their signature wood-fired bread for $16 each is the definition of carb heaven. And well earned. This soft and chewy bread had the finest layers of dough melded together with a thin crispy charred edge. A very small sprinkle of salt was used. It was absolutely delicious and had our eyes rolling 🤤🤤🤤.
Of course we had to order the staple of Italian hors d’oeuvres, the burrata for $14. This was the most refreshing and lightest case of hand stretched Mozzarella cheese and filled with the smoothest stracciatella. It was perfectly balanced in taste, accented by the roasted diced garlic and drizzle of olive oil.
Another staple of Italian hors d’oeuvres were these perfectly sliced anchovies for $14. These had a mushy but firm texture. The flavour was moderately fishy and salty, but not overbearing, thanks to the light coat of olive oil.
The prosciutto for $20 was a must order 😍. These thinly sliced and salty cured pork meat was flavourful and fatty, with no foul porky smell. These went perfectly with the melon and burrata.
The melon $7 was a sweet and refreshing cut, diced into quarters, and sprinkled with a mix of grounded black pepper, shredded fresh basil and a touch of extra virgin olive oil.
This chicken liver parfait… oooft ️‍🔥. For $14, this was a strong contender to some of the best parfaits we’ve had at finer dining establishments. It was rich and flavourful, with the smoothest texture. The chives and green onions added a crunchy texture to the bite, reminding us a bit of Vietnamese cooking with the drizzle of olive oil (referring to Mỡ Hành).

Mains

We ordered too much food because by the time the main dishes arrived, we were all stuffed 😳.

This whopping ginormous 300g veal rump schnitzel for $42 was flavourful and chewy. There was a generous amount of soft parmesan cheese and capers. Those capers were a tad hard to eat, as they added a smack of floral tartness and bold saltiness to the bite. We ended up taking most of this home and it was still delicious the next day.
The cacio e pepe was a special for the day. It was a simple and delicious spaghetti, cooked correctly with hugging creme cheese, parmesan and pepper (black and white). It was $32. The spaghetti was in between soft and al dente.
Of course we had to order their fries, rosemary salt for $13. This were finely crispy with a soft and fluffy potato interior, coated in the most addicting aromatic salt.

Service

The service was spectacular and innovative. They sent text messages to check where we were (as we were running late) and were quick to clear plates once we were done with it – and it did not make us feel rushed at all. There was something about their busy, well spaced out Italian corner that had us vibing as if we were in a European summer.

Review

Every dish was on point in taste and texture. We definitely understood why everyone was raving about this restaurant because you could have a fulfilling meal for an affordable price by only ordering their entrées. The vibes and service made the experience all the more fantastic. We are joining the bandwagon and recommending Totti’s too.

Thanks for reading! Happy eating 😊
