For a brief period in 2019, everyone was posting about this particular dish at this particular cafe. It was the oceanic special at Two Sis & Co. in Pyrmont, Sydney, and luckily I managed to get a taste of the iconic dessert.

This was the seasonal blue mermaid pancake. It had three layers of soft, dewy pancake batter, with two layers of light vanilla cream, completed with a top layer of moist, rich peanut butter.
The acai balls and berries added a nice citric, sweet flavour. The green fairy floss and sugar rocks balanced the sourness by running the sweet palate into overdrive. The mermaid meringue tail was so delicate and a fun way to enjoy brunch 🧁. It was a very sweet dish!

This was their signature french toast, which is on the menu year-round. It was a crunchy brioche, with fresh berries, nuts, chocolate pearls, salted caramel, Persian pashmak and added maple bacon. It was very sweet, with a lot of mix textures.

The service was friendly. Nothing much to comment about there 😃.

We found the cafe slightly small, with approx. 20 seating. We were almost elbow to elbow with our neighbours. If it had been peak hour, we assumed the wait time could’ve been an hour or longer. The food would make it worth it though.
The only downside is that the cafe is located on a busy street in the CBD. Since we were travelling up from the South-West, parking was an expensive issue. Nevertheless, if we were in the city for errands, we wouldn’t mind coming back for another meal.
